Windrose Consulting Group acquires Parioforma as part of its global growth strategy to further enhance its capabilities in non-traditional markets.

Windrose Consulting Group, a global lifescience commercialization strategy consultancy, has acquired Parioforma, a leader in value, access and price assessments in non-traditional markets. The acquisition strengthens Windrose’s expertise in emerging markets, which has been a significant driver of growth in recent years.

Windrose are a global consultancy. From inception, we set out to ensure strong capabilities in a wide variety of markets, differentiating ourselves from companies whose experience is limited to the US and / or top European markets.

The industry is increasingly seeking to understand how their assets will be valued and funded in “non-traditional markets” (defined as those outside North America, European top 5 and Japan).

In recent years, two linked changes have occurred. 1. the opportunity in non-traditional markets has become more apparent, but access has often been compromised by force fitting commercialization strategies designed for “western” markets and, 2. global teams have become more collaborative across geographies, arming local teams with relevant insight earlier to achieve access goals.

Over the past two years, non-tradition markets have gone from being included in less than a

fifth of our engagements, to over a third. We have now worked in 51 markets with Brazil, Colombia, South Korea and Saudi Arabia topping the list of those outside North America, Europe and Japan.

Our aim is to be on the forefront of shifting industry trends, and we have invested in developing good resources in non-traditional markets, including detailed understanding of pharmaceutical value systems, and stakeholder networks.

Windrose acquisition of Parioforma

Parioforma have been a valued partner for over a decade, supporting Windrose in providing value, price and access strategy in non-traditional markets. The acquisition brings with it a substantial expansion of our local networks, including payers, key opinion leaders and policy makers.

Matthew Storer, Managing Partner at Windrose Consulting Group, said: “While we have made great strides in developing our expertise in non-traditional markets, the acquisition of Parioforma has accelerated and strengthened our capabilities in a fast growing part of the business.”

Amy Morgan, Founding Director at Parioforma has joined Windrose as Head of Emerging Markets. Her job will be to support our clients’ strategic needs and show them why we are the premier global commercialization strategy partner. She said: “Windrose is well known for the quality of strategic support they provide.
